UCS 2-7 Park Athletic

The Bankies kicked off the first game of the new setup with a defeat at Donald Dewar Centre in Drumchapel inflicted by the experienced Park Athletic.

The Bankies were already a few players down but opened the game well and took the lead through a 20-yard lob from Ross Cummings.

Park came back into it and scored twice in quickly to turn the game round. Athletic then fired another two in before Colin McInally pulled another back after some good attacking play. Bankies missed a chance to make it 4-3 and were made to rue it when Park went straight upfield and added a fifth.

A couple of changes were made and Athletic quickly added another. Both sides then played some nice football as the tempo dropped a little.

Park finished it off with a late goal and the UCS team have a few lessons to learn over the next month or so.

Plenty of positives to take into next week's game at St. Andrews with most players performing well despite the scoreline.
