Select 3 UCS 4

A large Bankies squad gathered at Glasgow Green for this midweek friendly.

Davey Steven and Alan Hussey were farmed to the opponents on 1 game loan deals whilst Lawrie McGarvey sat out through injury.

Stuart Graham had a good early chance before the home side took the lead after 4 minutes with a 25 yard strike which just crept under the bar.

By the tenth minute it was 2-0 another cracking long range strike beating debutant keeper Russell.

Graham and McInally had chances before bankies got back into it after some fine play from Mark Connolly who played a one two and calmly slotted home with the hosts claiming offside against Graham.

Both sides had chances before the break with the defences looking a bit shaky at both ends.

Bankies made numerous subs whilst trying out different formations and the team coped well with this.

The equaliser came minutes into the second half and again it was Connolly scoring direct from a corner on the left with the ball going in at the back post.

Connolly picked up his hattrick converting from the penalty spot after Joey Muir was upended.

The hosts got back on level terms when the Bankies rearguard failed to clear their lines.

UCS bagged the winner with 7 minutes left. Joey Muir's cross form the right was met by Kevin Brodie at the front post and he beat the keeper before being replaced by gaffer Cummings.

A good workout and much needed win for the Bankies.
