SEMSA 2 UCS 1

This was a much improved effort on the previous weeks tripe.

Despite losing a goal after three minutes, The Bankies had SEMSA on the back foot for long perods of the game.

McInally had two good efforts for Bankies while a Harkin free kick just went by the post with the keeper nowhere.

SEMSA did have a goal chopped for offside and Eldred ahd two good saves.

the second half was more of the saem, Bankies had lots of the ball but struggled to break down the home defence.

Semsa hit the post twice but Bankies were always in with a shout. McInally was through but put his effort just wide.

However the home side added a second with 15 minutes to go.

Bankies then lost Harkin through injury and played the last 12 minutes with 10 men as all subs had been used.

Paul Mooney pulled one back on 85 minutes, scoring at the second attempt after the keeper blocked his initial effort.

Bankie then put the home side under immense pressure but they despite numerous corners and crosses, SEMSA hung on for vistory.

Hopefully the Bankies can build on this performance in the games against Baillieston on Tuesday(8pm at Glasgow Green) and Saturday's home clash with Olympique Energetik.
